About Us

I’m Chris Wakoko, owner and founder of Roofguiders. I’m an NRCA ProCertified Roof System Installer based in Seattle, Washington. I’ve worked in various fields involving handiwork and gained various certifications along the way. I also have a finance degree from the University of California.

I had a knack for handiwork, machines, and animals from an early age. This led me to pursue various interests, including roofing, bathroom remodelling, flooring, basement maintenance, and fish and insect farming. I’m also a DIY enthusiast with a deep interest in tools, machines, and technology.

I set up Roofguiders to share my knowledge and experience working with various industry experts in roofing, focusing on quiet, affordable, and eco-friendly roofing for all houses. In this blog, I mostly share solutions to problems you can carry out yourself (DIY) but also ones you can use as an expert when fixing a client’s roof.

I also get guides and insights from various experts in the building and construction field, including masons, foremen, lawyers, and clients, to gain knowledge on the best approaches to the most common problems we face in the roofing industry.

Roofguiders is meant to be an all-in-one hub for all things roofing. Whether you’re a scholar learning how roofs affect a house’s heating, a contractor seeking to know the best approach for a client, or a DIYer interested in soundproofing your roof, this is the place. Hop on as I share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained for more than 16 years in this field.

Thank you for being a part of my team.
